Rental Terms

1. Renter Requirements

The renter and any additional drivers must:

• Be over 23 years old.

• Have held a driver’s license for more than 3 years.

• Present a valid passport and driver’s license.

If the national driver’s license does not comply with the requirements of the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic, an International Driving Permit (IDP) or a notarized translation must be provided. Identity documents and driver’s licenses must be valid for the entire rental period.

2. Booking and Payment

• A partial or full prepayment is required at the time of booking.

• The remaining balance is paid upon vehicle collection.

• Payments are accepted via bank cards (Visa, Mastercard) or in cash in Armenian Drams (AMD).

• Calculations are made in AMD at the current exchange rate on the day of payment.

In case of early return, the paid amount is non-refundable.

3. Security Deposit

• Before handing over the vehicle, a deposit of 50,000 to 100,000 AMD is required, depending on the vehicle class.

4. What is Included in the Price

• Mandatory Third-Party Liability Insurance (OSAGO).

• Full vignette (road tax) for Armenia.

• Winter tires (November 1 – March 31).

• Replacement vehicle in case of mechanical failure.

• Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the rental starts.

• 20% VAT.

5. Rental Duration and Return

• Minimum rental period: 24 hours. If the vehicle is used for less than 24 hours, payment is charged for a full 24-hour period.

• Late return:

  • Up to 30 minutes: Free.

  • 1 to 4 hours: Charged per hour.

  • 5 to 24 hours: Deposit is withheld.

• The vehicle must be returned clean. If the vehicle is dirty, an additional cleaning fee of 5,000–10,000 AMD may apply. Inspection and cleaning may take 20-30 minutes.

6. Insurance and Liability

Third-party liability insurance is included and mandatory within Armenia. CDW+TP coverage is valid only if:

• The support service is notified immediately.

• Police are called.

• All terms of the contract are met.

• Keys and documents are returned.

Insurance is not valid if:

• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

• Serious traffic violations occur.

• No official police report is provided.

CDW + TP does not cover:

• Interior damage, lost keys, damage to tires, rims, or glass (unless explicitly specified), off-road driving, etc.

Penalties:

• Damage to one body part: from 50,000 AMD.

• Interior damage: from 40,000 AMD.

• It is recommended to record the condition of the vehicle on video when receiving it.

7. Border Crossing

Travel outside of Armenia is permitted only to Georgia.

• Permission fee: 40,000 AMD for the entire rental period.

• You must purchase Georgian insurance at the border (approx. 7,000 AMD).

• Unauthorized exit from Armenia leads to the forfeiture of the deposit.

8. Restrictions

• Off-road driving is prohibited (monitored via GPS). The deposit will not be refunded.

• Use of automatic and self-service car washes is prohibited.

• Smoking in the vehicle is prohibited. A 30,000 AMD fee will be withheld from the deposit.

• In case of a technical issue, the client must stop the vehicle immediately and contact the emergency service number provided in the contract.

9. No-Show

If the client does not arrive within 1.5 hours of the scheduled time:

• The booking is canceled.

• 15% of the booking amount is withheld (but no less than the cost of 1 rental day).

• Delivery costs are charged in full. (Exception: Flight delays, provided the flight number was specified in advance).

10. Basic Traffic Rules in Armenia

• Urban areas: 60 km/h.

• Outside urban areas: 90 km/h.

• Allowed speed excess: 10 km/h.

• Speed cameras are installed throughout the country.

• In Yerevan, a red dashed line indicates paid parking.

11-14. Duties and Rights

The landlord reserves the right to terminate the contract early if the renter violates the terms, damages the vehicle, or poses a danger to themselves or others. The renter is obligated to follow traffic laws, ensure the vehicle’s safety, return it on time, and pay all traffic fines.

If the landlord cannot provide the vehicle for a confirmed booking, the renter has the right to request a free upgrade or a refund of the prepayment.
