Rental Terms
Car rental with complete freedom of movement and a high level of service.
1. Renter Requirements
The renter and each additional driver must:
- be over 23 years old
- have more than 3 years of driving experience
- present a valid passport and driver’s license
If the national driver’s license does not comply with the requirements of the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic, an international driving permit or a notarized translation must be provided.
Identity documents and driver’s licenses must remain valid throughout the entire rental period.
2. Booking and Payment
- A partial or full prepayment is required at the time of booking
- The remaining amount is paid upon vehicle pickup
- Payments are accepted by Visa / Mastercard or cash in Armenian Drams
- All payments are processed in AMD at the exchange rate on the payment day
In case of early vehicle return, the paid amount is non-refundable.
3. Deposit
Before receiving the vehicle, a security deposit from 50,000 to 100,000 AMD is required depending on the vehicle class.
4. What Is Included in the Price
- Mandatory third-party liability insurance
- Full Armenian road tax vignette
- Winter tires (November 1 – March 31)
- Replacement vehicle in case of technical malfunction
- Free cancellation 48 hours before rental
- 20% VAT
5. Rental Period and Return
Minimum rental period: 24 hours. If the vehicle is used for less than one day, the payment is still calculated for a full 24-hour period.
Late return policy:
- Up to 30 minutes — free of charge
- 1 to 4 hours — charged as 1 additional rental day
- 5 to 24 hours — deposit may be retained
The vehicle must be returned in clean condition.
If excessively dirty, an additional car wash fee from 5,000 to 10,000 AMD may apply.
Inspection and washing may take 20–30 minutes.
6. Insurance and Liability
Third-party liability insurance is included and mandatory within the territory of Armenia.
CDW + TP coverage applies only if:
- support service is informed immediately
- the police are called
- all rental agreement conditions are followed
- keys and documents are returned
Insurance does not apply in cases of:
- driving under alcohol or drug influence
- serious traffic violations
- absence of an official police report
CDW + TP does not cover:
- interior damage
- lost keys
- damage to tires, rims or windows
- drunk driving
- traffic violations without police report
- off-road driving
Penalties:
- Damage to one body panel — from 50,000 AMD
- Interior damage — from 40,000 AMD
It is recommended to record a video of the vehicle condition upon pickup.
7. Border Crossing
Travel outside Armenia is allowed only to Georgia.
- Permit cost — 40,000 AMD for the entire rental period
- Georgian insurance must be purchased at the border (approximately 7,000 AMD)
- Unauthorized border crossing will result in deposit retention
8. Restrictions
- Off-road driving is prohibited (monitored via GPS). Deposit will not be refunded.
- Automatic and self-service car washes are prohibited.
- Smoking inside the vehicle is prohibited. 30,000 AMD will be deducted from the deposit.
- Placing feet on the dashboard or seats is prohibited.
9. No-Show Policy
If the customer does not arrive within 1.5 hours after the agreed pickup time:
- The booking will be cancelled
- 15% of the booking amount will be charged, but not less than the cost of 1 rental day
- Delivery fees are fully charged
Exception: flight delays if the flight number was provided in advance.
10. Main Driving Rules in Armenia
- In populated areas — 60 km/h
- Outside populated areas — 90 km/h
- Allowed speeding tolerance — 10 km/h
- Speed cameras operate throughout the country
- In Yerevan, red dashed lines indicate paid parking zones
11. Renter Responsibilities
- Comply with traffic laws
- Ensure safety and preservation of the rented vehicle
- Keep the vehicle securely locked
- Return the vehicle on time according to the agreement
- Pay all traffic fines issued by police authorities
- Cover all accident expenses if Full Coverage was not purchased
- Pay for lost accessories, keys, documents or license plates
- Pay smoking and interior cleaning fees if necessary
12. Rights of the Lessor
The lessor reserves the right to refuse service for safety reasons related to technical issues with the reserved vehicle.
The lessor may terminate the agreement early and repossess the vehicle if:
- the renter violates agreement terms
- fraud is committed to obtain the vehicle
- the vehicle is abandoned
- the vehicle is not returned on time
- the vehicle is damaged
- the renter’s driving presents danger to themselves or others
13. Rights of the Renter
If the lessor cannot provide the reserved vehicle, the renter may request a free upgrade or a refund of the prepayment.
No other compensation is provided.
